REAR: ONE Pear (T1)(ht.5m) FELL. Reason: T1 is the smaller of 2 rear pear trees, this small tree is in severe decline with multiple areas of de-laminated bark.Informative A: huge thank you for retaining the larger pear tree for rear amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change. Informative B: a replacement tree for T1 is encouraged such as pear, crab apple, quince (Cydonia oblonga), mulberry, loquat, Amelanchier, hawthorn, elder, hazel. Informative C: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity. Informative D: the resin bound surfacing encircling the 2x pear trees may be detrimentally affecting the rooting environment by reducing gaseous exchange and rainwater infiltration, a more permeable surface is encouraged such as chipped bark or gravel.
