REAR: ONE dead Elder (T1)(ht.6-8m) FALLEN.Reason: tree is dead and has fallen over, proposal to replant a new elder tree in its place or something of a similar size.Informative A: the replacement elder tree is greatly appreciated for its benefits to amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change; other suitable species include such as hawthorn, crab apple, hazel, alder buckthorn, holly, goat or grey willow. Informative B: the landowner has a duty to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species when a tree is removed in a conservation area because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm.
