Replanting proposed with an Acer within the rear garden. Informative A: the replacement tree is greatly appreciated, suggest such as Paperbark maple (Acer griseum), rather than Acer japonica which is prone to leaf scorch, other suitable species are such as: crab apple, hawthorn, Laburnum, pear (Pyrus communis), quince (Cydonia oblonga), hazel, Amelanchier, Magnolia Kobus, elder. Informative B: huge thank you for retaining T1 for amenity, wildlife, to reduce air pollution and to provide shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change. Informative C: please leave a safe standing trunk of T2 and create habitat log piles with some arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.Informative D: The Bat Conservation Trust advises checking thoroughly for roosting bats before and during tree works with soft fell process followed to proceed with care and with cut timber left grounded over night to allow any bats to make their way out, tree works ideally during Sept/Oct to avoid maternity and hibernation seasons when bats are most vulnerable to disturbance.
