Reason: within raised planter with restricted rooting environment and historic root pruning damage, old fungal brackets on north aspect just above ground level with now significant tonal differences detected and probe penetration indicating main stem basal decay, asymmetric crown leaning over high target use footpath, health and safety. To be replaced with a Hawthorn tree.The London Borough of Lewisham (Lewisham Park Estate London SE13) Tree Preservation Order 2008.Informative A: the replacement TPO tree is hugely appreciated for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change.
