REAR: ONE pollard Poplar (ht.23-25m) FELL to 4-6m high stem. Duty to replace applies ? with a poplar or an oak.REASON: large bough at ht.6m ripped out due to hollow bough with decay extending down from pollard head into fork and main trunk, risk of remaining boughs which fork at similar height falling into neighbouring gardens. The intention is to retain the trunk reduced to safe height, to provide habitat for local wildlife such as possible bat roost and insects including the endangered stag beetle.
