FRONT: ONE Robinia (T1)(ht.10.5m) FELL. Reason: The tree is dangerous and loosing large branches from historic pollard points. Duty to replace applies.Informative A: please retain safe standing stem or high stump, or leave the trunk lying on site as it is valuable for wildlife and biodiversity. Informative B: duty to plant a replacement tree applies if a tree in a conservation area is removed because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm: Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas, guidance, para 121. Informative C: suggest replacement species is another Robinia or select from: mulberry, crab apple, field maple, pear, hazel, whitebeam, Harlequin Glorybower (Clerodendrum trichotomum), hawthorn, Amelanchier, quince (Cydonia oblonga), bird cherry, Strawberry Tree, Chinese privet, paperbark maple.
