Reason: to combat subsidence damage to 106 Wood Vale (see also DC/25/140418 to fell same rear Ginkgo).Informative A: to encourage planting a smaller species replacement tree in the rear garden for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce high temperatures in increasingly hot summers due to the changing climate, suggested species: crab apple, elder, hazel, alder buckthorn, quince (Cydonia oblonga) medlar, mulberry, pear, magnolia. Informative B: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity. Informative C: the programme of level monitoring is welcomed, and encouraged to continue to assess if the structural issues stabilise after the removal of the rear Ginkgo (T2).
