Reason: a range of issues: the sycamore in the front garden has outgrown its location, is close to the building with a significant risk of subsidence, close to the wall of the railway bridge, roots are beginning to push up the paved path developing a trip hazard, long wounds on the main stems have not calloused over, and a structural integrity issue identified in tree survey by Gristwood & Toms finding Kretzschmaria deusta fungus, known as brittle cinder at the base of the tree, which is a fungal pathogen that causes breakage in seemingy healthy trees, to be replaced with a field maple in the side garden.Informative A: the voluntary replacement field maple tree in the side garden as agreed in agent's email dated 10.7.25 is greatly appreciated for amenity, wildlife and environmental benefits.
