The replacement species needs to be similar to the size and character of the cherry (T1) and selected from: Amelanchier, crab apple, pear, bird cherry, Tibetan cherry, paperbark maple, hazel, medlar, hawthorn, elder, Japanese snowbell, Harlequin Glorybower. Informative C: for wildlife and biodiversity please retain standing dead stems or high stumps of cherry (T1) and plum (T3) and create habitat log piles with arisings.
