Reason: exposed heartwood from ground level running up the trunk to ht.4m on west side with decay cavity above at 6-7m (facing the playing fields) and dieback in canopy, at the side of well used vehicle and pedestrian access and parking area in adjacent property frontage.Informative A: a replacement tree is encouraged with a nursery whip in the same location planted between the roots to maintain urban forest amenity, wildlife and environmental benefits and shade to reduce high temperatures in increasingly hot summers due to the climate change. Informative B: please retain the trunk on site and create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.
