Description

REAR FOUR Birch (Betula) trees(T1,T2,Y3,T4, T7)(ht. 13-15m) FELL to ground. Reason: To prevent shallow roots from spreading to the wall and damaging the side wall brickwork. ONE Cherry (Prunus)tree (T5)(ht. 13m) FELL to ground. Reason: To remove thick shallow root from tripping up the residents. Duty to replant with either Photinia or Robinia. ONE Elder Sambucus tree(T6)(ht. 13m) FELL to ground. Reason: To prevent the shallow root from cracking the brick wall surrounding the garden. Duty to replant with Amelanchier canadensis. FRONT ONE Common Elder (Sambucu nigra) tree(T8)(ht. 6m)FELL. Reason: The tree is too close to the window of the ground floor flat. The branches are hitting the glass in the window. Branches have been pruned but it is growing towards the 1st and 2nd floor flats. We could try to relocate the tree to the back garden where there is space. ONE Cherry (Prunus Avium)(T9)(ht. 12.8m)FELL to ground. Reason: To replant with Common Elder (Sambucus nigra) in the same location. The elderberry flowers will provide shade in the garden. The garden will be re-landscaped, and trees removed to prevent the roots from spreading. The plan is to add plants, grass area and flowers. The intention is to create a garden that is child friendly and easier to maintain.
