Amended works as agreed in emails 14,15,16 May 2024 following tree officer site visit and email 29 April 2024:FRONT (no.11): ONE Horse Chestnut (T0/TPO T16)(ht:23m, rs:15m) LATERAL REDUCE LOW BRANCH on east compass, over rear garden of no.14, by approx.4m from length approx.8m to approx.4m to the blue prune point in agreed image, pruning to a suitable growth point, create habitat log piles in the garden of no.14 with arisings. Reason: to minimise the diameter of the pruning wound to the mature horse chestnut (T16 in TPO), to improve light conditions for sycamore (T25, approx.ht.10m) with restricted growth and one-sided canopy.FRONT (no.14): ONE Horse Chestnut (T1/TPO T17)(ht:22m, rs:16m) LATERAL REDUCE STEM (L2) by 3m from ht.14m to ht.11m to previous prune points on stem (L2) as shown by broken red line in agreed image, retain stem L1 as agreed, remove epicormics on stems (L1,L2), to create habitat log piles in the garden of no.14 with arisings. Reason: clearance from no.14, retain tree amenity, aesthetics and health, reduce conker fall damage to cars. The London borough of Lewisham (Somerset Gardens and Loampit Hill) Tree Preservation Order 1974.Informative A: the sensitive works to the mature trees is hugely appreciated for amenity, to support tree health and reduce the likelihood of decay. Informative B: the proposed creation of habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity is greatly welcomed.
