Description
REAR: ONE Oak tree (T1) Height: 20m Width: 12m - Deadwood and epicormic growth removal, lateral limb removal to source.Informative A: The sensitive management of the tree is greatly appreciated for landscape amenity, wildlife, wellbeing, and urban forest canopy for environmental benefits to mitigate the effects of climate change.Informative B: It would be preferred if the two lateral branches could be shortened or reduced rather than cut all the way back to main stem as recommended in the British Standard for tree works. BS 3998:2010 Tree work -recommendations, clause 7.6 crown lifting, 'Crown lifting should be avoided or minimised in mature or old trees if possible, since it can increase the probability of stem failure. If it cannot be avoided, it should preferably involve the removal of secondary branches or branch shortening rather than removal of branches back to the stem.'
