Reason: as part of rear garden renovation, growing too large for 9m x 5m garden, replace with a more appropriate-sized tree, tree's roots protrude upon the small lawn, have damaged a patio area, lawn is unable to grow due to the roots and shade, and it infringes neighbour's sunlight, appreciate it is a shame to remove trees, plan on adding substantial greenery & foliage to the garden via raised beds, potted plants and smaller trees, either in containers or the beds. Informative A: the proposed replacement small tree is greatly appreciated, suggested species such as: Amelanchier, hazel, Cornus mas, Witch hazel, Chimonanthus praecox, wayfaring tree, winter flowering cherry (Prunus autumnalis), Cornus Kousa, Orange-barked Myrtle (Myrtus apiculate), Seven-son tree, (Heptacodium miconioides), Stachyurus praecox, Ceanothus arboreus, Harlequin Glorybower (Clerodendrum trichotomum), Informative B: planting against the garden boundaries is encouraged with climbers and perennials planted directly into the ground, include hedgehog highway holes in boundary fencing timber gravel boards.
