Reason: to retain green boundary hedge screen and amenity for rear outlook from Penerley Road and Phoebes Place while allowing more light into the Phoebes Place garden.Informative A: the sensitive management works to maintain the leylandii hedge is greatly appreciated. The leylandii hedge is retained by the approved landscape strategy for the development of Phoebes Place ref DC/17/102292 and condition 11 soft landscaping DC/18/109020. Informative B: it would be appreciated if the replacement feature amenity tree can be planted in the communal garden for the tree which was felled due to poor condition ref DC/22/127130. The tree was retained by the landscape strategy and the species suggestions in the informative are: Robinia, wild cherry, field maple, whitebeam, wild service tree, crab apple, pear, hawthorn, mulberry, tree magnolia, Tibetan cherry, Paperbark maple, Amelanchier, Laburnum Vossii, Cornus Kousa, Strawberry Tree, Judas Tree.The Council raises no objection to the following AMENDED tree works to RETAIN the line of leylandii (G1) with reduction (not fell) as agreed in agents email of 15 January 2024:
