REAR: ONE/TWO Lombardy poplar (T1)(ht.15m) LOW POLLARD to approx.ht.1.5-2m, while looking to retain as much of tree stems at safe height if possible for amenity and habitat. Reason: close-grown, multi-stemmed tree, low decayed hollow stems revealed after several stems/half of canopy collapsed in storm Ciaran on 1 Nov 2023, arborist advice is to low pollard remaining stems which have decay and unsafe, tree previously reduced DC/10/075562, and dead vertical stems removed ref DC/18/105343, replacement tree to be planted.Informative A: the replacement tree, when possibe, is greatly appreciated, species suggestions: crab apple, Tibetan cherry, paperbark maple, hazel, pear, hawthorn, Harlequin glorybower, magnolia, Strawberry tree, holly, Judas tree.Informative B: retention of as much remaining tree as safely possible is welcome for wildlife habitat, creation of habitat log piles for wildlife and biodiversity is encouraged if space allows.
