Description

REAR: ONE Ash (T1, in TPO group T43)(ht.14m) FELL, or RE-POLLARD to safe height. Reason: a large cavity in the base of the tree, see pic. There is not enough holding wood to allow the tree to remain at current height, it is close to several rear gardens and therefore presents a significant hazard. Visible from Lowther Hill between 3 & 5 ? reduce to safe height if possible for amenity, to retain wildlife habitat and biodiversity. A native species will be planted as a replacement. (T1 is rear 3,5 Lowther Hill, SW corner of private gardens).REAR: ONE Horse Chestnut (T453, in TPO group T43)(ht.13m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 4m from 13m to 9m, REDUCE RADIUS by 3m from 10m to 7m on all compass points. Reason: A climbing inspection report showed some cavities in the old pollard points. The pruning will not go beyond any previous points, pruning to suitable points and maintaining natural aesthetic (rear 24 Brockley View, NE corner)REAR: ONE Cherry (T7, in TPO group T43)(ht.8m) FELL. Reason: dieback in most of the canopy and leans dangerously with cavities and cracking up the main stem, health & safety. A native species will be planted as a replacement (rear 45 Lowther Hill, SE corner).REAR: ONE Ash (T448, in TPO group T43)(ht.15m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 4m from 15m to 11m, REDUCE RADIUS by 4m from 15m to 11m on all compass points. Reason: previous survey noted a poor union in the main stem. One weight loaded stem snapped around the end of this winter, pruning will not go beyond any previous points, health & safety (upper central, E half of private gardens). REAR: FIVE Lime (T462, T463, T464, T465 & T9 in TPO)(ht.16m) Reason: remove dead wood as the area below is used for picnics (exempt works).REAR: ONE Horse chestnut (T476, in TPO group T43)(ht.14m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 6m from 14m to 8m.
