REAR (adj Mais Ho.): ONE Sycamore (T3)(ht:15-20m) FELL and replace. Reason: extensive tree decay, huge rotten cavity at the base and pockets of decay throughout the main stem from historic pollard management.Informative A: the agreement to plant a replacement tree for T3 is hugely appreciated to maintain the treed and shrub understorey boundary with adjacent Mais House, and tree canopy cover on the Sydenham ridge, tree species suggestions: sycamore, hornbeam, sessile oak, wild cherry, field maple; understorey suggestions: holly, yew, wild privet, spindle, hazel.Informative B: the retention of timber from sycamore T3 on site for wildlife habitat and biodiversity is greatly welcomed.
