Description
1. Reduction of birch tree. Due to the central stem of the tree being previously removed, the tree is now irregularly shaped and disproportionately very wide. I would like to narrow the spread of the canopy by 5-6 metres where possible and try to reshape the canopy to improve form. The reduction will reduce the chance of failure in the long, outward-reaching branches as a large amount of weight and sail will be removed. The tree would also be pruned away from existing Openreach wires which, according to one engineer, is causing disruption to broadband service in the locality. 2. Reduction in oak tree. I suggest raising the canopy to 4 m to access underneath for vehicles, particularly on the neighbour's side. Then light crown reduction and shaping to aid the tree in developing with good form. Rear garden. 3. Cut back the overhang from the two yew trees on the right hand side of the garden so they spread less into ours and next door's gardens, and form a tighter, more hedge like appearance. 4. Raise the canopy of the large spruce in the lawn by 6-8 feet to allow more clearance but also to remove to low tired/dead looking branches and improve the tree aesthetically. Dying branches are now shedding a massive amount of pines, resulting in the loss of significant lawn each year.
