Description

Ash (T1) - Pollard to appropriate points at a height of approximately six metres to mitigate risk of branch failures affecting the roadway. The crown is in heavy decline (suspect Hymenoscyphus fraxinea present) and there have been several reports of deadwood falling in the road. Pollarding rather than full removal allows us the ecological benefits of retaining the standing stem and ivy whilst mitigating the risk of failures from within the crown.
