Application Details
Description
T1 and T2 Sycamore - Proposed crown thinning of 20%, crown reduction in height is approximately 4m which is 30% of the overall height of the tree which is approximated to be 13/14m. These proposed interventions will reduce the shade covering most of the garden, reduce the risk of falling dead wood/branches for the a65 and our property. As well as the potential of significant property damage from storms/high winds if no action is taken to maintain the treesReasons: Trees are within close proximity to the building (trunk is 4m from side of building) and as such permission is requested to reduce the risk posed by falling deadwood and potential risk from storm damage. Crown reduction is requested to reduce the risk of damage caused by dead branches falling onto the property or road and reduce the weight at the top of the trees which makes them more vulnerable to storm damage.
