T1 Beech - Consider removal. Bark has split or come off altogether, this can have a number of causes, possibly beech bark disease but isn't good as the underlying wood is exposed to colonisation by beetles and/or other fungi. Base of the trunk showing a patch of damaged cambium and decay.
