Grassed open area near Wharfe Bridge - Fell, (Ash trees) marked 1,2 and (Sycamore) marked 3 all numbered with yellow spray paint. On the riverside footpath walking in a westerly direction away from Wharfe Bridge marked in red: Tree 80 (Ash) -Fell, Tree 75 (Ash) - Fell. Tree 60 and the dead Cherry immediately behind it 60a - Fell. At Jackdaw Crag, path on west side walking towards river: Tree 53 (Elm) - Fell. Unmarked - 53a (Ash) with large cavity to fell. Unmarked - 53b (Dead Elm) with bark coming off to fell.At the bottom of the path near wooden bridge: Tree 38 (Ash) - remove dangerous branches. This is the tree with woodpecker hole, wish to keep as a habitat pole. Tree 37 (Ash) - Fell. Tree 35 (Ash) - Fell. Tree 31 (Ash) - Fell. Tree 28 (Ash) - Fell. Unnumbered tree 28a next to tree 28 - Fell. Unnumbered tree 31a leaning over covered in Ivy about 8m in a southerly direction from tree 31 - Fell. Tree 25 (Pine) - Fell. Tree 21 (Ash) - Fell. Unnumbered tree 21a next to tree 21 with split - Fell. All these have died/dying due to Dutch Elm disease or Ash Die Back and the Cherry has died. We wish to fell these to prevent failure in a high risk area (well used paths). Due to bird nesting season starting, it would be very helpful if at all possible for this work to be approved by Friday 23rd February.
