Description
T1 Basket Willow (Salix viminalis) - Pollarding, pollarded down to a height of approximately 6ft (in line with a another willow of the same species - photograph attached). This tree is very fast growing and has reached a height at which we are unable to maintain it. It is growing up against the boundary fence on the left hand side of the garden and where it rocks in the wind, it is scraping and damaging the fence which is starting to lean as a result.T2 - We would also like to reduce the height of and clear out dead/damaged branches of a large pine tree. The tree will be reduced in height by about 1-1.5 metres depending on branch junctions to a final height of approximately 5 -5.5 metres. We are unable to identify the exact species but it is very similar to an Eastern White Pine but with fatter cones, similar to those of a maritime pine. This tree is leaning at an approximate angle of about 35-40 degrees and is overhanging our neighbours garden quite substantially. A tree surgeon has inspected it and said he would be inclined to remove it but we would like to try and reduce it first.
