Description

Proposed catchment extension on Fisherplace Hydro Electric Station. The station is located at Fisherplace Gill, Thirlemere, Keswick with the catchment extension picking up Stanah Gill to the North. The proposal involves a small intake on Stanah gill with a pipeline running down to just below the existing Fisherplace intake where the new pipeline joins the existing pipeline. The extra water from Stanah Gill abstraction feeds the existing abstraction at Fisherplace Gill and provides additional electricity generation from Fisherplace Hydro's Pelton Turbine.
