Description

The proposed development at Volunteer Marsh, RSPB Titchwell Marsh, includes the construction of a regulated tidal exchange within the east seawall breach area to help manage tidal flow and prevent continued erosion of the seawalls surrounding the marsh and loss of material from the marsh itself. Additionally, a spillway is proposed on the northern side of the current breach in the east seawall, alongside the creation of new islands, channels, and pools to enhance habitat conditions for coastal species.
