Description
2/TPO/00153 T2 - Large Pine in front garden. Remove or substantially lessen weight of the lower limb overhanging the garden of the neighbour to the west.T1 Holm Oak in front garden. Remove lower limb which is overhanging the garden of the neighbour to the west.T3- Holm Oak in rear garden. Remove this tree. In the circumstances now it has little or no amenity value. It now dominates the rear garden and has a malign effect on the health of the garden by reason of is ability to shed vast quanties of leaves throughout the year and flowers in the summer months. It also casts extensive shade such that the small vegetable garden adjacent to it struggles to flourish. The tree is also uncomfortably close to the house. It has been pruned back from the house on several occasions in the past few years, but only too quickly grows back. It is a popular roosting spot for pigeons and that creates a worrying health hazard. The unpleasant result is easly noticeable at all times throughout the year. It is fair to say that it has now seriously overgrown its location. We would be delighted to plant a suitable replacement tree. Here we would favour an Acacia, specifically Robina Pseudoacacia. The site itself is well blessed with trees and is indeed bordered by many trees, particularly to the rear of the property, many or all of which were planted after the date of the TPO. If the Council were not minded to approve the removal of this tree, then in that circumstance we would wish to seek approval to pollard this particular tree, for the same reasons as above.
