Description
Demolition of front garden wall and replacement with low retaining wall (875mm in height, measured from pavement level) with railings and evergreen hedge planted behind the railings, extending along the entire front edge of the garden. Demolition of the raised concrete planter. Demolition of the refuse and meter enclosures. Demolition of the plinth walls around the lime trees, to be replaced with metal edging. Removal of hard surfaces and resurfacing of the entire area. The pathway from the front gate to the front door will be tiled with traditional Victorian tiles, the remainder of the area will be tiled with permeable slabs to allow water drainage. Construction of a refuse enclosure in the location of the existing planter, built in concrete, rendered and painted white, with timber slatted doors. Construction of gas and electricity meter enclosure along the boundary wall with Number 34 rendered concrete, painted white, with timber slatted doors. Installation of low-level lighting along the external steps. Installation of new handrail along the steps leading to the front door.
