Description

Re-waterproofing north forecourt area. Current paving bricks to be taken up. Replacement of existing bike mount, drainage gullies and low barrier railings surrounding roof light. Upstand to roof light to have 8 no. louvres installed to allow for smoke extract from basement. Proposed louvers to be bronze annodised to match existing appearance windows and doors and complementing colour contrast with brickwork;. New roof light in same position as previous but to cover whole open area. Proposed rooflight to be slightly raised to accommodate new inner perimeter gutter design that will replace previous gutter design. Rooflight will remain obscured and safety glazed and upgraded to current building regulation. Rooflight materials to be bronzed glass appearance matching current surrounding fenestration and finished with black jointing silicon. Perimeter gutter to sit flush to reinstated brickwork soldier course of vent structure, to be finished in stainless steel and finished with leaf guard, flush with top of brickwork. A termination bar to seal new membrane against existing brickwork walls/upstands. Reinstatement of brickwork to ventilation / rooflight structure to match former brick materials in bond, size, materials and appearance, but expansion joints to be added to overcome cracking in ooriginal design. Expansion jointing mastic to closely match brickwork colour or that of expansion joints to main building.
