Description

Proposal relates to internal works and regularisation and retrospective works to rear wing. To lower ground floor, space defined by modern fabric and prior alteration, it is proposed to swap kitchen and dining rooms, moving kitchen to front room. To ground floor, modern (pre-1988) full width opening between front and rear rooms is to be reduced with nibs reinstated to either side. A door and small window are to be reinstated to rear (north) wall of closet wing, along with internal partition forming WC, all as per 2001 approved application. To first floor, ensuite is to be refurbished including repositioning of shower cubicle so that sealed door to landing can be reopened. To first and second floors, retrospective permission is sought for retention of existing unauthorised windows of rear (north) elevation of rear wing, which replaced now infilled windows of the west side elevation. Windows are timber sashes; three- over-three sash to first floor and small one-over-one sash to second floor. Relocation of some modern radiators and bathroom refurbishment is also proposed but does not include intervention to any skirting and can utilise or link to existing services. Modern recessed downlights are to be removed and made good with appropriate materials to match existing ceiling construction type.
