Sever ivy at 10cm above ground level and remove to 2m height using hand tools only and taking care to avoid damage to the bark beneath. T4 London plane - Crown reduction to a final height of 14m with a horizontal radial canopy spread of 5m. Repetition of works likely to be required every c5 to c7 years. Crown lift to 5m. Prune surface root (shown in SAL4) close to the tree stem to reduce potential for further direct damage and / or offset the time within which damage may occur in the future.
