Description

The proposed scheme comprises the removal of existing platform hump on Platform 1, and the installation of new, slightly lower but longer humps. New humps are required to maintain step-free access between train and platform, and therefore the station's compliance with the Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulation (‘RVAR’), following the introduction of the 2024 Train System (24TS) later this year, as the 24TS doors are slightly lower than on the existing trains.
