Description

UK Power Networks are proposing to undertake a significant undergrounding project on land north of Cambridge Road, St Neots, PE19 6SW. This will enable the removal of circa 24 spans of existing 11,000 and 33,000 volt overhead electricity line. I have enclosed a plan showing the extent of the removal. There will be overhead line going north towards Toesland Road and east towards 'Gallow Brook' which will remain in situ, to ensure this line remains secure there will be a reconfiguration to the terminal poles, shown on the attached Design Plan. There will be a terminal 'H' pole (plus four stay wires in tandem configuration) installed at the location marked 'G' which will replace the existing poles numbered 43 and 43a. Pole 23 going to the east will be converted to a terminal pole with two new stay wires installed.
