Application Details
Description
Elm 1 - fell to near ground level. Elm 2 - fell to near ground level. Elm 3 - fell to near ground level. Ash 1 - fell to near ground level. Ash 2 - fell to near ground level. Horse Chestnut - fell to near ground level. Reasons - Some of the Ash tree branches had been suddenly dropping off. Mr Quince therefore asked the Forestry Commission Officer for some advice. Mr Quince met him on site, the Officer confirmed both the Ash and Horse Chestnut have a disease which is dangerous as these trees are close to farm buildings and and branches can drop at any time. The Elm is also dying and close to electric power lines. In all of the above cases he suggested it was best to remove them completely and replace with the tree species he specified at the ratio of 5-1 per tree. The request for felling the trees is as per the advice and the approved felling licence (documents attached) given by the Forestry Commission.
