Description

Proposed works to Silver Birch Betula pubescens. Height c. 15m. Trunk diameter 350mm at 1.5m above ground level. Tree currently healthy. Probably self-sown. Growing on steeply sloping bank above and extremely close to a retaining stone wall bordering the driveway. The lower part of trunk is increasingly leaning outwards (eastwards) over driveway. Tree surgeon advice is that the tree is becoming increasingly unstable and is now at increased risk of being blown overduring strong winds with consequent risk of damage to outbuildings, boundary fencing and cars parked on the driveway. Tree to be felled.
