Proposed works to T1. Betula pendula (Silver Birch). This self-set tree is around 30 years old but has already become too large for its position, situated on the river bank and well within falling distance of the neighbouring property. A crown reduction is not a suitable option, as the garden and river bank in the immediate surrounding area already has a dense covering of trees and shrubs the removal of the tree should have a limited ecological impact and the applicant would like to utilise the timber to create a habitat pile and shall plant another (T2 is an established Rowan) Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) asreplacement.
