T1. Chamaecyparis spp. (Lawsons Cypress subspecies)- The tree is in good health but grows very close to the old brick wall and the two main stems sway a lot in the wind and the two things are causing the applicant a lot of concern, as the tree that previously grew next to it collapsed across the carriageway and the tree nearest to it now is now leaning excessively and wants to reduce the risk to property and the public. The applicant would like to reduce the upper canopy by around 30% to create a more stable structure and still keep an attractive habit.
