Description

1. Quercus robur, (it is on council land) - Prune branch overhanging driveway to the nearest growth point and lower hanging further protruding branches reduced by 1.5m (or to the nearest viable growth point). I would like to prune the overhanging branch as it has potential to cause damage to cars if it were to fall and the lower branches as these are causing a nuisance with birds defecting on parked cars. The tree appears to be in relatively good health, however I have identified that the branch that I would like to prune is in poor health (on the basis of localised epicormic growth), and shows signs of previous pruning (previously reduced leaving sapwood and heartwood exposed). The pruning will be carried out in accordance with BS3998, and the waste product will be used to create a habitat stack.
