I am writing to request permission to carry out works on a mature lime tree (20m) in the garden of 26 Hillside Gardens. The tree is indicated in red in the sketch plan attached to this request. Some of the tree’s branches and canopy are overhanging into my garden (24 Hillside Gardens) and are blocking sunlight to my property. I am requesting consent to: • Remove or prune the overhanging branches that encroach into my garden. • Reduce the canopy as necessary to improve light levels, while ensuring the long-term health and shape of the tree. I will ensure that any works are carried out by a qualified and insured tree surgeon.
