Description

Seven London plane trees were planted approximately 20 years ago, during a landscape development in the Park to visually connect to the plane trees in Park Avenue North. However, they were planted very close together and are suppressing each other with limited space for the individual trees to develop. The approximate dimensions of the trees are: height 9m, DBH 38cm. The proposal is to remove the four trees closest to the boundary of the Park, and the one tree furthest from the boundary. This will leave a pair of trees to retain the connection to Park Avenue North and as a gateway feature to grow without competition from its neighbours.
