Bay (T3)- reduce by 4m Lilac (T4)- reduce by 1.5m Cherry (T5)- cut down to 3m False acacia (T6)- reduce branches growing towards building back to previous cuts (2.5m off) Bird cherry (T7)- reduce by 1.5m Reason: most of the work is aimed at getting clearance from the building and allowing more light into the building. The bay has ganoderma, with a four-year old fruiting body. Sounding with a nylon mallet reveals significant hollowing. The client is keen to retain the tree, but a significant reduction is prescribed to reduce the risk of failure. The cherry that's being cut down to 3m is mostly dead, there are some live branches low down - most likely a case of managed decline.
