Description

T1 Purple plum - fell to ground level. This tree outside the front of no.40 is potentially hazardous. On several historic pruning wounds are fruiting bodies of Phellinus. There's a lot of water shoot growth up the lower half of the canopy on the main primary and secondary stems. Upon sounding, the tension wood is extremely decayed and the tree is leaning towards the path and road close by. A replacement will be planted very nearby in the front garden.
