Description

Hedgerow is in general poor condition and with increased traffic flow along road creates a safety issue in exiting adjacent house due to no clear sightline. Proposal is to remove hedge (primarily hawthorn) and replace with post and rail fence. There is no evidence that it provides wildlife habitat and the owners of the land and the adjacent property have already established similar length of dense hedging along other border which provides a good ecological habitat
