Description

Proposal to discharge condition 21 [piling] of approval K/2011/0736/O [Shared Educational Campus] MWC to update WYG Outline Piling Risk Assessment (included within Works Information) and re-consult with regulators as required on the basis of the finalised piling/ground improvement design. To be completed prior to construction. Selection of driven displacement piling techniques in order to densify the adjacent soils and avoid the creation of pathways & mitigate against the migration of contaminants, gases, hydrocarbon vapours. Use of a pointed or convex shoe should further reduce the potential for soils to be dragged downwards during piling This piling technique has been designed for all buildings so as eliminate risks identified in previous Piling Risk Assessment.
