We believe that coppicing will allow the ornamental birch to flourish.Our chief concern is that currently the regrowth of the base graft plant is interfering with BT telephone lines and the garage roof.Arborist recommended:1.5m off roof. Coppice the main stem at about 3m. Cutback 0.5m any branches near BT wires.
