T1 - OakSuggested Works: Crown reduce by 2 meters, maximum diameter of cuts 50mm. Crown lift to comply with the Highways Act 1980. Remove old bracing and install new 2 tonne Cobra bracing system.Rationale: The tree exhibits a low union that is showing signs of splitting, hence why the old cable brace had been installed. This brace was installed very low in the tree's canopy and is showing severe signs of weathering and is also now very tight. The crown reduction is to alleviate any further stresses on the potentially weak union and to allow the tree to recover and support is upper canopy for years to come. The current bracing will be removed and replaced with a new system at approximately two thirds of the height of the tree as per BS3998.
