Description

Application to fell a semi mature sycamore at the edge of the park and within St Davids conservation area. This tree was vandalised in 2020 (thought to be dog training) whereby a section of bark was removed from ground level to 1m and approximately 75% of the circumference of the tree. This tree has been under annual observation and the crown has shown to be in decline. In an exposed position on the top of a hill and with significant targets, this tree has been assessed as having a QTRA value of 1/10,000 risk of harm. To avert the risk of failure we intend to fell this tree and replace.
