G1 - Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (Lawson cypress) x 2 and Ailanthus altissima (Tree of Heaven) T1 - Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (Lawson cypress) x 1 We are requesting permission to fell three Chamaecyparis lawsoniana (Lawson cypress) and a small self-seeded Ailanthus altissima (Tree of Heaven) located along the boundary between 28 and 30 Ewell Downs Road. The largest cypress, closest to the house, is causing significant damage to the patio and garage, as well as blocking a considerable amount of light from reaching the garden of 28 Ewell Downs Road. Additionally, we would like to improve the visibility of the protected cedar tree in the garden of 30 Ewell Downs Road by removing the conifers and Ailanthus closest to it. This will not only enhance the health and longevity of the cedar but also increase the amenity value of both the tree and the road as a whole.
