Description

Application for the installation of a below-ground drainage pipe crossing a footpath/access road and the vegetated bank of the River Lea, together with the construction of a headwall for the outfall angled to complement the river flow, and reinstatement of the site using excavated material and topsoil, seeded as required. The development is located between the boundary of the site proposed for the upgrade of Waltham Cross Substation (North London Reinforcement Project DCO, 2014) and the River Lea, within a site of approximately 500 sq metres. The works will be undertaken alongside and as part of the Waltham Cross Substation upgrade, with environmental mitigation and construction management measures for the substation also applying to the outfall works, as set out in documents subject to approval by EFDC under DCO Requirements 7 (Highway Access), 9 (Construction Traffic Management Plan), 10 (Surface Water Drainage), 11 (Contaminated Land and Groundwater), 12 (Ecological Management Strategy), 13 (Construction Environmental Management Plan), and 14 (Archaeology).
