Description
Tree Preservation Order EL:10/08 - T1 Pine EL:10/08 The specification below resulted from a pre planning application (site visit 15/10/25) Works proposed are available as annotated images of reference 2025/2311 Branch closest to house (see annotated image). Cut back to stem. Branches x2 growing towards lamp post (see annotated image). Cut back to stem. Branches (dead) x2 growing towards lamp post (see annotated image). Cut back to stem. In the site visit it was very apparent how many people use this path. It is of concern that elderly people in particular may be at risk of stumbling on the loose pine cones especially in the dark. I raised this as potential trip hazard but, it was not felt by EBC to be sufficiently significant to warrant cutting back the overhanging branches. As landowners we are therefore unable to take any action to mitigate this risk. 2- The church building of All Saints Weston Green has just been repainted. The pine now entirely blocks the view from the road and pavement on to this building. Perhaps this doesn't matter but it does seem something of a conflict that we are protecting the benefits of the black pine as a visual amenity but in so doing losing the visual impact of a building on which in the last 12 months over £100,000 of community and public money has been spent. 3- From the point of view of our own house, the tree blocks much light to the front of the house, (thank you for noting that we can remove the branch closest to the house - this will help), the grass is non-existent in the summer, and as noted in the site visit, many plants, small trees and shrubs, dep
